Costello Medical is seeking a Financial Accountant to lead US accounting and support the group-wide reporting across the UK, US, Canada and beyond from its Cambridge HQ. You will own month-end close, US tax reporting and intercompany processes while partnering with global teams to improve controls and processes.

Ideal candidates have strong accounting experience, adaptability to a multinational environment, and a proactive approach to process improvements. Hybrid working options are available.

Responsibilities

• Own the US accounting function, including month-end close, group audit support and US tax reporting
• Manage sub-group consolidations and ensure accurate, timely reporting across US and other entities
• Oversee US tax activities, including estimated payments and coordination with external tax advisers
• Contribute to cash flow forecasting, financial planning and risk analysis
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, prepayments and accruals
• Ensure intercompany accounting, reconciliations and invoicing in a multinational context
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and multi-entity reporting
• Assist with year-end close, audits, and ongoing compliance activities
• Collaborate with global teams and external advisors to implement process improvements and change initiatives

Job description

Role Summary

• Responsibilities: As a Financial Accountant at Costello Medical, you will play a key role in enhancing our financial reporting and accounting processes (playing a leading key role in US accounting) to support the ongoing growth and development of our Finance team
• Salary: From £50,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and previous experience. Candidates with post-qualification working experience may be offered a higher salary

• Role Type: Permanent role, offered on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 30 hours per week)
• Start Date: We are currently recruiting for start dates throughout 2027 which occur on a monthly basis. You will be asked to state your availability on your application form

About the Role

As a Financial Accountant at Costello Medical, you will play a key role in shaping and managing the accounting and tax landscape for our rapidly growing US and Canadian entities in Boston and Vancouver, whilst also supporting accounting across the rest of the group (UK, Singapore, China, Australia). This is a high-impact, internationally focused role where you will take ownership of US financial accounting while also contributing to global controllership and process improvements. The role blends technical accounting, tax awareness, and process improvement, with the opportunity to shape the role as the company grows.
