Job summary

RBC is seeking an MD, Finance Modernisation Global Business & Solution Architect in Greater London. This is a full-time permanent role requiring 4 days in the office weekly.

You will drive globally consistent solution design across finance domains, ensuring coherence across GL, FPSL, data platforms, and reporting. You will lead end-to-end data flows and ensure regulatory alignment, while managing governance with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in finance transformation programmes within G‑SIBs or similar large, complex global financial institutions.
• Proven experience designing and building finance data platforms from conception through implementation across data, processes and technology.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and SAP Fioneer ERP solutions (FSDM, FPSL, GL, AP, AR, FA, MDM).
• Deep understanding of IFRS, US GAAP and financial controls across key domains.
• Ability to design globally standardised solutions balancing global consistency with regional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive globally consistent solution design across finance processes, data, and technology.
• Ensure design coherence across GL, FPSL, data platform, and reporting domains.
• Architect end-to-end data flows from source systems to reporting outputs.
• Ensure accounting books serve as the foundation for regulatory processes.
• Support multi-scope, multi-framework architecture and scalable growth.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership and external partners across program governance.
