Job summary

SMBC Group in London is seeking a Finance Change Director to drive major finance transformation initiatives across the EMEA region. You will oversee the delivery of new processes and technologies within a global banking context, focusing on Derivatives Product Control and efficiency gains.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to partner with ITSD to enable finance-enabled change across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Technology expertise relevant to Finance processes and reporting capability in a universal banking context.
• Project Management/Business analysis qualification
• Part or fully qualified accountant

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of the Finance change roadmap, championing integration of modern technologies—including AI.
• Challenge the status quo with innovative process and technology capabilities for future Finance function.
• Build strategic partnerships with internal and external technology stakeholders to align with business objectives.
• Forge delivery partnerships with ITSD to ensure timely execution of Finance priorities.
• Influence ITSD technology strategy for Finance processes.
• Provide executive visibility of project progress through governance forums.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of business solutions from requirements through deployment and post-implementation support.
