Job summary

Smartbox Assistive Technology is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own day-to-day finance for the UK and EU entities. This hands-on leadership role sits in a growing international group, delivering accurate management accounts and robust financial controls to support our mission of empowering people with disabilities through AAC technology.

You will lead month-end, statutory reporting, payroll, and regulatory submissions, while guiding a small finance team and partnering with budget

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience owning month-end and producing management accounts.
• Strong balance sheet controls, reconciliations and statutory schedules experience.
• Experience handling intercompany transactions within a group.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full month-end process and produce high-quality management accounts.
• Strengthen financial controls and support statutory reporting, audit prep and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee payroll processing and pensions/benefits submissions, within UK requirements.
• Guide and develop a small finance team and coordinate with budget holders and senior stakeholders.
• Improve systems, processes and reporting to enhance financial clarity and control.
