Job summary

CV Technical LTD in Bedfordshire is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to install, commission, and service specialist production machinery across the UK and internationally.

You will fault-find electrical, mechanical and control systems, provide remote support, and work with internal engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role offers a competitive £40,000-£50,000 salary plus overtime, and requires travel with a valid passport.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering background.
• Recognised qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering (HNC / BTEC or similar).
• Strong fault‑finding ability on machinery and automation equipment.
• Experience working with industrial machinery.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of new machinery at customer sites
• Service, maintenance, and breakdown response for installed equipment
• Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Software debugging and commissioning for production line integrations
• Providing remote diagnostics and technical support for customers
• Logging service requests and maintaining support documentation
• Liaising with internal teams regarding service, spares, and technical solutions
• Supporting customers via telephone and email with technical issues
• Assisting with product improvements by providing feedback from field experience
• Completing documentation including test plans and validation records
