Job summary

ELE International in Milton Keynes is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support customers with equipment servicing, installation, calibration, and on-site repairs across the UK.

You will travel to customer sites, diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform routine calibration, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Training customers and junior staff, plus keeping documentation up to date, are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience.
• Hands-on calibration and testing experience.
• Strong mechanical background with hydraulic system understanding.
• Ability to fault-find across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience in a regulated industry preferred.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service – Act as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing queries and ensuring high satisfaction.
• Repairs – Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic equipment issues efficiently.
• Calibration & Testing – Perform routine calibration and testing to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• On-site Repairs – Travel to customer sites to carry out fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• On-site Installations – Handle equipment installation and commissioning at customer locations.
• Training – Train customers or junior staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Component Replacement – Identify and replace faulty components (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical/electronic).
