Job summary

Airwallex in London seeks a Senior Manager, Global Expansion, CEO Office, to own expansion into new markets across EMEA and the Middle East, from market-entry strategy through licensing, product readiness, and launch preparation for commercial scale.

You will work with executive leadership to solve regulatory, product, and operating challenges, build scalable processes, and lead cross-functional teams with AI-enabled research and automation to streamline market entry.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent), regulatory/financial services law, or strategy/expansion roles in fintech or payments.
• Proven track record of owning complex, multi-stakeholder programs end to end, including planning, execution, and executive-level updates.
• Strong operating discipline: structuring multi-workstream programs, governance cadences, and dependency management.
• Experience working with regulatory/licensing topics in financial services and engaging with legal, risk, and compliance counterparts.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in day-to-day work for regulatory research, licence mapping, or workflow automation.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leaders.
• High ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity to move launches forward.

Responsibilities

• Own new market expansion strategy across EMEA and the Middle East, sizing opportunities, selecting markets, and defining win conditions.
• Design the market entry model, licensing paths, entity structure, and commercial framework translating regulatory needs into the operating model.
• Shape the product roadmap by turning regulatory requirements into concrete scope and sequencing.
• Build the operating system for launches using AI-assisted research, templates, and dashboards to streamline market entries.
• Run governance for go/no-go and launch readiness with cross-functional sign-offs and risk mitigation.
• Support priority CEO Office initiatives including strategic reviews, restructurings, or cross-market structuring.
