Job summary

Abcam, part of Danaher, is seeking an Event Specialist to support the end-to-end planning and execution of global conferences, trade shows, and customer events from the UK. You’ll manage logistics, vendors, budgets, and attendee engagement.

You’ll collaborate with marketing, sales, and stakeholders, track leads in Eloqua, deliver post-event reporting, and drive ROI through cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, event management, communications, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in event planning or related fields.
• Strong organizational and project management skills for budgets, timelines, and vendors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to process excellence and high-quality execution.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end planning and execution of global events, conferences, and customer events.
• Manage logistics including venues, registration, shipping, collateral, vendors, and on-site operations.
• Coordinate setup, execution, and teardown with marketing, sales, and stakeholders.
• Capture and manage event leads in Eloqua; maintain budgets and timelines.
• Analyze event performance with post-event reports, attendee metrics, and ROI insights.
• Travel up to 25% as part of global events.
