Job summary

Drug Hunter in the United Kingdom seeks a Director, Global Events to lead the execution of the global event program across in-person, digital, and sponsored experiences. You will report to the Head of Scientific Growth and partner with Sales, Science, and Marketing to ensure events deliver high-quality attendee and speaker experiences.

The role includes managing budgets, vendors, and SOPs, while coordinating attendance at 40+ scientific conferences annually and supporting sponsorships and Sales

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in event management, field marketing, experiential marketing, or related function.
• Strong experience managing complex in-person and digital event programs.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Customer-service oriented with high attendee/speaker experience.
• Experience with budgets, vendors, sponsorships, and logistics.
• Ability to partner with Sales and technical/scientific teams.
• Life sciences, biotech or pharma event experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of Drug Hunter-hosted events (symposia, mixers, dinners).
• Oversee the attendee journey: registration, communications, vendors, logistics, on-site experience, follow-up.
• Coordinate with Sales on invite strategies and attendance while ensuring high-quality experiences.
• Own event budgets, vendor management, and execution against event plans.
• Coordinate attendance at 40+ scientific conferences annually; support marketing actions (no exhibits planned).
• Manage sponsorships: attendance planning, registrations, deliverables, and promotions.
• Oversee Flash Talk digital series logistics: speaker coordination, scheduling, platform readiness, follow-up.
• Maintain annual event calendar, track events in HubSpot; develop SOPs and templates; improve efficiency and customer experience.
