Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an ETD Operations Manager for our London office. The role will lead exchange traded derivatives processing, ensuring accurate trade lifecycle management, reconciliations and risk controls across multiple regions.

You will collaborate with front office, technology and regional hubs to deliver efficient operations, drive improvements and maintain compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. A strong background in financial markets and derivatives is essential.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expert on Exchange Traded Derivatives with core understanding of trade and post-trade processes.
• ETD trade, position and cash reconciliations including fees & commissions management.
• Desirable knowledge of expiry and trade lifecycle.
• Minimum 3 years financial markets experience, preferably from a top-tier bank.
• Understanding of front-to-back processes and systems flows.
• Knowledge of commodities products including Base Metals, Precious Metals, and energy.
• Carbon emissions and voluntary carbon credits knowledge desirable; ICE Endex and CME connections helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support for all House Franchises across Business lines trading Exchange Traded Derivatives.
• Own query remediation, trade lifecycle processing and timely escalation to minimise risk.
• Understand product lifecycle across rates, commodities, FX and equities; serve as SME for core systems processing.
• Drive continuous improvement and partner with Technology on transformations.
• Build relationships with Front Office and regional hubs to enable efficient communications.
