Job summary

Vertiv Co. seeks a Manager, Global Estimating Excellence to lead governance, standards, and knowledge management for estimating across the Global Power Software & Controls product line.

You will own estimating methodologies, drive platform improvements (C1/CPQ), and collaborate with Engineering, Pricing, Product, and IT to raise quality and adoption. This player-coach role requires strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with up to 15% travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in estimating, proposal management, pricing operations, or related disciplines.
• Experience developing and governing business processes within technical or commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, pricing, costing, and proposal development.
• Experience implementing process improvement and standardization initiatives.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders across a global matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global estimating standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Establish governance frameworks to improve estimate quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Monitor compliance with approved estimating processes and approvals.
• Conduct audits and reviews to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Drive standardization across regions while supporting local requirements.
• Own estimating systems and templates; improve C1 and CPQ platforms.
• Capture and transform knowledge into repeatable practices; develop training materials.
