Job summary

AAK is seeking a Global ESG Engineer to join the Global Operations team and drive the ESG strategy across a global manufacturing network. The role translates sustainability ambitions into engineering standards, KPIs, and improvement programmes, focusing on energy efficiency, carbon reduction, water and waste optimisations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Process, Energy, Environmental, Carbon & Net Zero Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong data and digital capability including KPI reporting and dashboarding tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise ESG improvement opportunities across the manufacturing network focusing on energy, carbon, water, waste and resource efficiency.
• Co‑develop and implement global engineering standards, technical specifications and best practices for ESG performance.
• Create site‑level roadmaps, KPIs, improvement projects and implementation plans for ESG targets.
• Drive energy monitoring, carbon tracking and digital ESG data solutions to improve data quality and decision-making.
• Collaborate across Global Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing Excellence, Procurement, Digital & IT, EHS and Sustainability.
