Job summary

Jefferies in London is seeking a technically oriented developer to join the Equity technology team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining our Equity Swaps platform, supporting front and middle office users across time zones.

You will collaborate with business partners, analysts and stakeholders to deliver the strategic book of work while handling day-to-day operations. Strong C++ and Java skills, multi-threading, and Linux/Windows experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong and experienced C++ developer with a track record of delivering robust software.
• Capable Java developer with workplace coding experience.
• Hands-on experience with multi-threading and real-time systems.
• Experience with SQL databases, preferably MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Windows desktop/server apps and Linux deployment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
• Owning specific projects or issues from start to finish and documenting progress.
• Working with global colleagues to prioritise work and manage expectations.
• Write high quality code, perform unit testing, collaborate with QA, and oversee production releases.
