Job summary

Millennium in the United Kingdom seeks a hands-on Java Engineer to design and build real-time equities pricing, volatility risk, PnL and market data systems. You will work with developers, QA and production support and interact with Portfolio Managers, Middle Office and Risk Managers.

A strong, proactive coder with pricing/risk understanding and excellent communication is essential. Experience in Unix/Linux is required; cloud and containerization experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience with Java backend development.
• Deep understanding of concurrent, multi-threaded environments.
• OO design, design patterns and testing (unit & integration).
• Experience with distributed caching/replication is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies; strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain real-time equities pricing and risk system.
• Possibly code in/learn UI technologies and write docs.
• Test code via approved frameworks and ensure quality.

Java Engineer - Equity VolatilityThe successful candidate will join a global team that designs and develops Equities Volatility Risk and PnL and Market data systems.
