Job summary

Depuy Synthes in Leeds seeks an Environmental Materials and EPR Program lead to own global materials compliance and EPR initiatives. You will drive regulatory programs, develop governance, and coordinate with regional partners to ensure timely registrations and reporting.

The role requires 6–8 years of experience in regulatory affairs or environmental compliance, with strong communication and project management skills in a global context.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of progressive experience in product stewardship, environmental compliance or regulatory affairs.
• Strong knowledge of global materials compliance and EPR requirements with program implementation experience.
• Ability to interpret regulations, assess impact and translate into executable plans.
• Experience with regulatory data, reporting, dashboards, and documentation.
• Strong project and program management, governance, metrics and action tracking.
• Independent worker with sound judgment and detail orientation.
• Strong influencing, facilitation, collaboration, writing and presentation skills in a global matrixed org.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the global SME for materials compliance and EPR requirements.
• Monitor emerging global requirements and translate findings into actionable plans.
• Maintain regulatory trackers, dashboards, metrics, inventories, and leadership updates.
• Coordinate with regional affiliates to complete registrations, reports and fees on time.
• Lead Materials and EPR Communities of Practice and training.
• Partner with Government Affairs, trade associations and industry groups.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and best practices.
• Support audits, inspections, information requests and due diligences.
