Job summary

PureGym Group seeks a Group Data Compliance Manager (designated Data Protection Officer) to lead global privacy and data protection across markets. You will report to the Group Head of Health & Safety and shape the privacy strategy, guiding governance, risk management, and regulatory engagement.

Based in London or Leeds with hybrid arrangements, you will work with the Health & Safety team to ensure compliant, responsible data practices and support business growth and innovation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading data protection and privacy programmes in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
• Demonstrable experience acting as a Data Protection Officer or senior privacy professional.
• Expert knowledge of UK GDPR, EU GDPR, Swiss FADP and applicable US privacy legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Protection Officer programme and governance.
• Provide regulatory oversight and engagement with authorities.
• Manage privacy compliance programme and DPIAs.
• Oversee Data Subjects' Rights handling and complaints.
• Govern cross-border data transfers governance.
• Review third-party privacy arrangements with providers and processors.
• Lead incident and breach management processes.
• Maintain Group policies and standards for privacy.
• Drive training, awareness, and a culture of accountability.
• Maintain ROPA, retention schedules and data mapping activities.
