Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Senior Director of Data & AI Risk Management to lead enterprise risk across strategic, operational, ethical, and regulatory dimensions. You will integrate risk into ERM, surface critical issues, and drive remediation at scale while partnering with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Privacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Senior experience in risk management, governance, or second-line oversight.
• Deep expertise in enterprise Data & AI risk management.
• Experience with regulatory compliance programmes (US/EU).
• Strong partnerships with Legal, Compliance, IT and Privacy.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise approach to identifying, assessing, and managing Data & AI risks across dimensions.
• Integrate Data & AI risk into ERM processes aligned with appetite and objectives.
• Ensure material Data & AI risks are surfaced and managed at enterprise level.
• Sponsor priority initiatives across Data & AI Trust and Assurance and regulatory programs.
• Lead enterprise operating model for Data & AI Risk Management with clear ownership.
• Drive continuous improvement of risk management processes for Data & AI.
• Advise on complex Data & AI use cases to enable proportionate risk decisions.
• Partner with Business, Projects, and Data Offices to embed risk management.
• Build relationships with Legal, Compliance, AZ IT, and Privacy.
• Interact with Group Internal Audit and remediation tracking.
