Hitachi Rail Limited is seeking a Senior Counsel, Cybersecurity & AI to join our global Legal, Contracts & Compliance function in a hybrid role based in London. You will provide risk-based legal advice on cybersecurity and AI matters affecting our products, services, and digital environment across borders.

You will shape our global legal approach, develop governance, policies and frameworks, and work with senior leaders to navigate evolving regulatory requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified lawyer with a relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong post-qualification experience in a leading firm, multinational, or regulator.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and AI regulatory landscape in international contexts.
• Experience advising on cybersecurity incidents, product vulnerabilities, regulatory notifications or investigations.

Aufgaben

• Act as a senior legal adviser for cybersecurity and AI matters globally, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
• Monitor evolving cybersecurity and AI laws and enforcement trends across jurisdictionsHitachi Rail operates in.
• Develop and maintain global legal strategy, governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures and guidance.
• Advise senior management on material legal risks and regulatory requirements.
• Take a leading legal role in cybersecurity incidents and product vulnerability matters, including investigations and notifications.
• Drafting and negotiating cybersecurity and technology-related contractual provisions.
• Partner with technical teams on product security and supplier/customer security requirements.
• Support regulatory inquiries, audits and interactions with authorities and partners.
• Deliver training and strategic guidance to diverse stakeholders across the business.
• Manage external counsel and advisers when required.
