Job summary

Vector Resourcing is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to own security design and hands-on implementation across a growing global business, with a focus on enterprise infrastructure and Azure. You will lead security improvements from requirements through testing and handover, delivering secure landing zones and ongoing hardening.

Qualifications

• Experience designing security architectures for enterprise environments.
• Hands-on implementation of security controls in Azure and on-prem.
• Ability to translate requirements into actionable security designs.

Responsibilities

• Own security designs from initial requirements through implementation, testing and operational handover.
• Establish security standards, design patterns and reference architectures for IT teams.
• Configure and harden firewalls, IDS/IPS, network segmentation and access controls.
• Design and implement Azure security controls, including secure landing zones.
• Deliver technical security changes for EDR implementation and email security platform replacement.
• Build Python or PowerShell scripts to automate security controls and repeatable tasks.
• Translate NIST CSF priorities into practical technical improvements.
• Guide security analysts and work with international IT teams to implement designs and resolve issues.
• Explain design decisions, risks and trade-offs to senior stakeholders and challenge vendor proposals.
