Job summary

Teledyne E2V in Chelmsford seeks a proactive Customs Compliance professional to join our trade compliance team. You will support import/export processes, ensure adherence to UK and EU regulations, and work with internal stakeholders under guidance from CITC.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to prepare concise reports, train staff, and conduct audits across Teledyne sites. Experience with CHIEF/CDS and SAP4HANA is a real plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK & EU Customs Laws and Regulations.
• Experience with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and origin rules.
• Ability to collect, analyze data and prepare concise reports.
• Experience with UK customs systems (CHIEF, CDS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP4HANA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure import/export compliance per laws and Teledyne policies.
• Support customs compliance program elements and documentation.
• Review/validate customs entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage Inward Processing Relief (IPR) across sites.
• Provide quarterly/yearly reporting and training for groups.
• Conduct audits and implement corrective actions as required.
• Assist in trade investigations and support other sites.
