Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Compliance Lawyer in the UK (London or Manchester) to join the Office of General Counsel. The role supports global compliance programs, focusing on financial crime, AML, and sanctions.

It offers hybrid work with both in-office and flexible scheduling possibilities. Ideal candidates hold a law degree and are qualified as lawyers, with 3–4 years' post-qualification experience in financial crime compliance, and prior experience managing global compliance projects

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance developments across jurisdictions and update global/local programs, including EU AML package.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulators (e.g., OFSI).
• Support AML strategic plan and related projects within the OGC team.
• Assist with ad hoc compliance programs (e.g., DAC6, criminal offences).
• Prepare responses to compliance-related inquiries and develop templates for replies.
