Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Compliance Lawyer to join the Office of General Counsel, located in London or Manchester, with hybrid work options. The role covers global compliance programs, AML, and sanctions across jurisdictions where the firm operates.

Key duties include monitoring regulatory developments, preparing compliance reports for regulators, supporting the AML strategic plan, and advising on terms in contracts and vendor engagements.

Qualifications

• Law or other degree.
• A law degree from an accredited law school.
• A qualification as a lawyer currently licensed to practice, preferably in England & Wales; other jurisdictions eligible.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance-related developments and update global and local programs.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulators (e.g., OFSI).
• Support AML strategic plan and related projects; assist with audits and inquiries.
• Advise on contracts and service agreements from a compliance perspective.
• Assist with audits and inquiries from internal/external auditors and regulators.
