The Regional Studies Association seeks a new Chief Executive to lead our global, multi-disciplinary learned society from the UK. The role is permanent, full-time, with hybrid working in Brighton (usually three days in the office) and a probation period of six months.

Travel within the UK and abroad is expected as part of representing the association. The successful candidate will manage a multi-skilled team, work with international researchers and policymakers, oversee finances and compliance

Competenze

Proven experience leading a multi-skilled professional team.
Experience working with an international research and policy community.
Knowledge of international higher education landscape and membership organisations.
Ability to multi-task across a busy portfolio with tight deadlines.
Practical understanding of organisational finances.
Familiarity with company, charity, contract and employment law for learned societies.
Excellent interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills.
