Job summary

BP plc seeks an experienced Carbonate Reservoir Geologist to join the SedStrat Specialist Team. You will apply carbonate sedimentology to characterize reservoirs, lead multidisciplinary subsurface studies, and mentor team members across bp’s portfolio.

Strong communication and project management skills are essential. Role requires deep carbonate knowledge, ability to frame technical work, and willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of carbonate sedimentology across depositional settings.
• Strong ability to integrate geology with reservoir engineering.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead subsurface studies in carbonate systems globally.
• Coordinate and frame sedimentological and reservoir characterization projects.
• Mentor bp staff and contribute to technical training.
