Job summary

G-Afton Chemical, LTD in Bracknell, UK, seeks a senior executive to lead the SBU planning and performance. You will develop five-year strategy, oversee the annual operating plan, and drive capital investment and acquisitions.

You will guide R&D portfolio decisions, manage IP strategy, and coordinate IBP, BCP, and HSES risk actions to sustain profitable growth globally. This role requires leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop the five year long range plan (goals, objectives, strategy, tactics) for the SBU
• Develop and lead the implementation of the annual operating plan
• Establish the profit and loss (P&L) for the global business
• Develop and advocate the business case for capital investment in facilities and operations
• Develop and implement the SBU acquisition (M&A) plan
• R&D project portfolio manager; Key decision maker and leader on R&D plans & investments
• New Product Development (NPD) process and overall stage gate manager for the SBU
• Prepare & Assess Business investment proposals (BIP) for R&D projects
• IP team leader (R&D and legal): develop and manage intellectual property strategy.
• Integrated Business Planning (IBP) teams, closely related to Sales and Operational planning; priority setting and decision making.
• Business continuity plans (BCP) and security of supply plan SBU team leader: develop risk assessments, set project priorities and budgets; implementation and communication
• Assess business implications of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) risks, including REACH, global product registration and labeling; develop and communicate plans to manage the business risks.
