Job summary

Sotheby’s is seeking a highly organized Bids Coordinator to support bidder registration and bidding activities across auctions. You will help clients and internal teams navigate the bidding process, establish bidder accounts, and maintain clean client records for accurate data within Sotheby’s systems.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with strong client-service skills and Excel proficiency, comfortable with CRM and ticketing tools, and able to collaborate across global teams during peak

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in client service, auction operations, bids or account management.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a client-service mindset.
• Familiarity with CRM, client accounts or ticketing systems.
• Ability to review information critically and resolve routine issues.
• Strong judgment and ability to elevate issues appropriately.
• Ability to work across global teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with KYC, AML or onboarding is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Foreign language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end bidder registration across Sotheby’s auctions within service levels.
• Review bidder accounts and ensure information is complete before bidding.
• Process bid-related requests and resolve questions with clients and internal teams.
• Assist during peak periods with high-volume registration and sale requirements.
• Identify and escalate registration, account or bidding issues for review.
• Provide guidance on bidding processes and account status to colleagues and clients.
• Collaborate with Bids teams globally for consistent coverage across regions.
