Job summary

WeWork Inc. is seeking a Senior Lead, Accounts Payable in London to oversee the EMEA AP ledger, reconcile vendors, and coordinate cross-border activities.

You will partner with treasury and offshore teams to ensure timely payments and accurate month-end close, while driving improvements in processes and controls. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AP, a bachelor’s degree, and a proven ability to manage complex, global workflows across time zones and cultures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally in a multi-currency, global environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Experience working across time zones, with different cultures and languages.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy and speed when entering numeric data into financial systems.
• Good communicator who can build collaborative relationships across functions and levels.
• Ability to multi-task and work with urgency to deliver.
• Comfortable in a continuous improvement environment and able to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the EMEA AP ledger to ensure complete accuracy and completeness.
• Perform vendor and statement reconciliations and lead meetings to resolve variances.
• Partner with utilities contract management to ensure proper invoice booking.
• Coordinate offshore team activities and provide training as needed.
• Collaborate with treasury to ensure timely supplier payments.
• Provide AP support during month-end close and identify accrual needs.
• Be the main contact for internal regional teams and manage escalations.
• Contribute to system improvements, process optimization, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Regularly review aged invoices and unreconciled cash lines and take necessary actions.
