Job summary

TC Group in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is seeking an Accounting Operations Manager to lead an international accounting team and drive operational excellence. Hybrid working with 2–3 days in the Belfast office, 37.5 hours per week, and a discretionary annual bonus scheme.

You will oversee quality across year-end accounts, tax, and bookkeeping while promoting automation and new technologies. A strong ACA/ACCA background and leadership experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Experience reviewing statutory accounts and compliance work to a high technical standard.
• Experience managing, mentoring or developing team members.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing, mentoring and developing an international accounting team.
• Leading workflow planning, capacity management and service delivery.
• Driving continuous improvement through technology, automation and AI-enabled workflows.
• Overseeing quality and technical standards across year-end accounts, corporation tax, bookkeeping, management accounts and related compliance services.
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and client outcomes.
• Developing team capability through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.
• Supporting the adoption of Microsoft Copilot, AI agents and other emerging technologies.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the UK and internationally.
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the Professional Services division.
