Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent with deep UK GAAP/IFRS technical knowledge.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams with coaching and performance management.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex accounting engagements and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and sound commercial judgement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to explain complex accounting to varied audiences.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop team members, ensuring work is planned, prioritised and delivered to deadlines and service standards.
• Review and oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, management accounts, and client reporting, including complex accounting matters.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers, including onboarding of new clients.
• Collaborate across jurisdictions to provide accounting guidance, resolve queries, and deliver a consistent client experience.
• Monitor records and reporting deadlines, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, promoting efficient use of technology and systems.
• Deliver internal training and coaching to develop colleagues and raise technical capability.
• Identify and support business development opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
• Present financial information clearly to client boards, investors and stakeholders.
• Assess and manage risks to clients and the firm, ensuring policy compliance.
