Atkinson Moss seeks a Glasshouse/Growing Manager for its thriving Norfolk operations. The role oversees crop performance, environmental control, and yield strategy across soft fruit and commercial fruit enterprises, with end-to-end accountability for crop health and production efficiency.

You will drive trials and innovations, manage climate control (including Priva) and fertigation, and lead a team of growing staff to deliver high-quality yields.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience managing glasshouse or protected soft fruit operations.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
• Data-driven approach with experience in trials and innovation.
• Hands-on experience with environmental control systems and fertigation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee crop performance and yield strategies for soft fruit and commercial fruit enterprises.
• Manage environmental controls, irrigation, EC/pH, and climate systems across protected environments.
• Lead crop protection strategies, IPM, and agronomy walks to maintain plant health and quality.
• Spearhead variety trials, season-extension projects, and modern production methods to optimize yield and labour efficiency.
• Direct daily farm/husbandry teams, set priorities, and mentor junior staff.
