Job summary

Beatson Clark Plc in Rotherham is recruiting for a Decorating Plant Quality Controller/General Operative to join the decorating plant team. You will perform AQL assessments, conduct MEK and cross-hatching tests on decorated containers to verify paint adhesion and durability, and maintain batch testing records for traceability.

• Knowledge of the glass industry.
• Experience in performing, interpreting and evaluating test results.
• Ability to organise and structure reports for review.
• Outstanding communication skills at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Complete AQL assessments on decorated stock.
• Carry out MEK and cross hatching tests on decorated containers to ensure paint adhesion and durability.
• Record keeping of tests with batch references to allow tracking.
• Ensure levels of paint are correct.
• Ensure print matches specification and no missing print or bleed on the finished print.
• Assist with setup of spray and print lines.
• Assist with mixing and supply of materials to spray and print lines.
• Perform visual quality tests on containers.
• Operate automatic packing machinery.
• Carry out other reasonable duties within skill set.
