Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Glass Gluing & Finishing Assistant to support busy production lines and ensure high-quality finishes. You will prep glass and related components, inspect for defects, and prepare surfaces for bonding and assembly in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires strong hand skills, attention to detail and experience with finishing tasks. You will work closely with the production team to meet daily targets and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Ability to trim, cut, bond and glue components.
• Sharp visual awareness to check components and finished products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare glass and associated components for final assembly.
• Carry out visual inspections for scratches, defects or imperfections.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for bonding and finishing.
• Apply adhesives, sealants and bonding materials accurately.
• Secure glass components into frames, bezels and manufactured parts.
• Carry out trimming and finishing to achieve a professional appearance.
• Remove protective coverings and excess material from components.
• Follow production methods, safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Check completed work before moving to the next production stage.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working area.
• Collaborate with production teammates to meet daily targets.
• Report defects or production concerns to the supervisor.

The successful candidate will support the final stages of production, preparing glass and metal components for assembly and ensuring finished products meet the required standards of quality and presentation.

• Carry out visual inspections to identify scratches, defects, damage or other imperfections.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure they are suitable for bonding and finishing.
• Apply adhesives, sealants and bonding materials accurately and consistently.
• Secure glass components into metal frames, bezels and other manufactured parts.
• Carry out trimming and finishing work to achieve a clean and professional appearance.
• Remove protective coverings and excess material from completed components.
• Follow established production methods, safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Check completed work before it moves to the next stage of production.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Work closely with colleagues within the production team to achieve daily manufacturing targets.
• Report defects, material issues or production concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Handle components carefully to prevent damage during assembly and finishing.
