Job summary

EMR Group in Glasgow is seeking a Mobile Plant Fitter to join our maintenance team. The role covers reactive, predictive and planned maintenance across our sites, with a company van and tools provided.

You will fault-find on hydraulic power packs, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and treatment machinery, carry out welding as required, and keep CMMS records up to date, while working Monday to Friday with overtime available.

Qualifications

Completed a nationally recognised mechanical or fabrication apprenticeship (minimum Level 3).
Proven background maintaining and repairing heavy plant and mobile machinery in engineering environments.
Able to work independently and manage time, workload and site responsibilities.
Committed to high standards, attention to detail and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

Monitor, fault-find, maintain, and repair equipment including hydraulic power packs, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and treatment machinery.
Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
Maintain, monitor and document all service, maintenance and CMMS records.
Identify, investigate and report machine faults using Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurrence.
Perform MIG, TIG and other welding methods as required.
Participate in ongoing training to stay compliant with industry standards.
