Job summary

Scottish Power is seeking a GIS Technician to support a major network modernization project. You will process project data and reflect upgrades on ESRI maps and SAP databases, working both independently and as part of a team.

The role requires accuracy, good time management, and the ability to learn new software quickly. Strong communication skills and adaptability to change are essential to deliver quality results within project SLAs.

Qualifications

• GIS-related qualification or experience is desirable.
• Experience with asset management data is desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience handling large datasets and data quality analysis.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.
• Able to quickly learn new software.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Strong communication skills including feedback and escalation.

Responsibilities

• Understand the client’s network and ESRI data capture practices.
• Ensure quality assurance methods and tools are used.
• Log and manage the client’s asset data on SAP and Excel.
• Troubleshoot data issues.
• Manage time and prioritisation to meet the SLA.
