Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Nurse Specialist/Team Leader to act as a clinical expert and professional resource for the multi-professional team, patients and carers in the specified speciality. You will develop the specialist area of practice in partnership with the lead clinicians and managers, and lead the service team to deliver high-quality care.

The post holder will drive professional development, quality improvement and innovative care models, overseeing nurse-led clinics

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with degree-level qualification or health-related equivalent
• Professional knowledge at degree level plus specialist training to Masters level equivalent
• Recognised Teaching Qualification is desired

Responsabilités

• Develop high level clinical decision making and monitor standards of care within advanced scope
• Lead clinical care by managing a patient caseload with expert assessment, planning and evaluation
• Coordinate and manage nurse-led clinics within the specialty/service
• Contribute to multi-professional management of patients, including discharge planning
• Support patients and families with information to enable self-management and participation in care
• Support and encourage the multidisciplinary team in new case management approaches
• Promote development of nurses undertaking the CNO Ten Key Roles (e.g., Nurse Prescribing) with the Matron
