Job summary

GHE Electrical, Fire & Security Ltd is recruiting an apprentice fire and security engineer based in the North West. You will work with experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on access control, video surveillance, intruder alarms, fire alarms and emergency lighting.

You will train through block release at the Warrington centre, attend one week every eight weeks, and work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship with real hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Willing and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check.
• Ideally local to Wigan, especially if you cannot drive.
• A driving license would be a bonus, but not essential.
• Basic electrical knowledge would be a bonus.
• Desire to learn more about the wider fire and security industry.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working at height due to the nature of the role.

Established in 2006, they provide design, installation, and 24/7 maintenance for electrical, fire safety, and security infrastructure to residential, commercial, and landlord clients across the North West. They are now looking to recruit a brand new apprentice fire and security engineer to join their team!

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control
• Video Surveillance
• Intruder Alarms
• Fire Alarms
• Emergency Lighting

Entry Requirements

• Willing and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
• Ideally local to Wigan, especially if you cannot drive

Training to be Provided

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You'll train through block release at our Warrington centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday-Friday).

You'll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
