The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets current industry standards and client specifications, with a strong emphasis on IP CCTV, networked access control, and wireless intruder alarms. The role is entirely field-based, meaning the successful candidate will manage their own schedule, liaise directly with customers, and maintain a high level of technical quality on every job.## Key Responsibilities* Install, commission, and configure IP CCTV systems, access control panels, and wireless alarm devices at commercial and residential sites.* Perform routine preventative maintenance and reactive fault-finding to minimise system downtime.* Conduct site surveys and collaborate with project managers to plan equipment placement and cabling routes.* Ensure all installations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry codes of practice.* Provide basic user training to clients and hand over completed system documentation.* Complete accurate service reports, timesheets, and stock control records using company-provided mobile tools.* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to the employer’s quality assurance procedures.## Requirements* Proven experience in installing and servicing IP-based CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.* Solid understanding of networking principles, including IP addressing, PoE, and basic router/switch configuration.* Familiarity with leading security equipment brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton, or Texecom.* Full UK driving licence is essential due to the mobile nature of the role.* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ECS/CSCS card, IPAF) are highly desirable.* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining excellent customer communication.## Compensation & Benefits* Company vehicle and fuel card provided for business travel.* Overtime opportunities available, paid at enhanced rates.* Pension scheme and holiday allowance in line with statutory entitlements.* Ongoing manufacturer training and professional development support.* All necessary test equipment, uniform, and PPE supplied.## How to ApplyInterested individuals can submit their application by clicking the Apply Now button on this page.
