You, the new German teacher…

The school is looking for a passionate and dedicated German Teacher to join the World Languages Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the German language, a deep understanding of German-speaking cultures, and a commitment to fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

This role involves developing lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress in line with curriculum standards.

Key Stage 3 and 4

Duration: Until July 2025

Pay: MPS / UPS

LEA: Staffordshire

Responsibilities include…

• Planning and delivering engaging German language lessons.
• Designing curriculum and instructional materials that meet academic standards and accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Incorporating cultural elements into lessons to enhance students' global awareness and appreciation of German-speaking cultures.
• Utilising technology and interactive resources to support language acquisition.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress through assignments, exams, and projects.
• Maintaining open communication with students, parents, and staff regarding academic progress and behaviour.
• Participating in departmental meetings, professional development, and school-wide activities.
• Fostering a respectful, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications and requirements…

• Bachelor’s degree in German, Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching German up to GCSE level.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken German.
