Job summary

Decagon is recruiting an Agent Deployment Engineer to drive end-to-end AI agent builds for strategic customers. You will own design, implementation, validation, and production deployment, partnering with customers and internal teams to define success and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade agents.

You will collaborate with Agent PMs, Success, Engineering, and GTM to ensure reliable deployments, guardrails, and continuous platform improvements in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role (solutions engineering, implementation engineering, technical consulting, or similar).
• Fluency in written and spoken English and German required.
• Strong technical foundation: code, APIs, and end-to-end integrations.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical stakeholders and translate requirements into plans.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers.
• Design and engineer core agent logic for reliable, scalable agent behavior.
• Engineer guardrails and supervisory controls for safe, compliant performance.
• Architect and test integrations with customer systems (CRM, data pipelines, ticketing).
• Interface with customers to define success criteria and drive delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve failures via root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Design evaluation and regression tests to guard against performance drift.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and drive platform improvements.
• Collaborate with PMs, Eng, Design, and GTM to deliver consistent builds.
