Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Geotechnical Site Engineer to join a well‑established geotechnical and geoenvironmental contractor in Manchester. This fully site-based role focuses on delivering and supervising ground investigation works from start to finish, with no office writing expected.

You will supervise diverse projects across the UK, liaising with drilling crews and project teams, ensuring safety, quality and on-time completion while building strong client relationships on site.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience with a ground investigation contractor.
• Experience supervising or delivering site investigations.
• Knowledge of boreholes, trial pits and in-situ testing.
• Strong health and safety knowledge on site.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and deliver ground investigation projects across the UK.
• Organise and oversee site investigation works to ensure safety, on-time delivery and specification.
• Liaise with drilling crews, subcontractors and project teams on site.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Manage site logistics, equipment and daily operations.
• Maintain effective communication between site teams and the office.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships on site.
• Support project delivery to meet quality standards and programme requirements.
