Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Engineer to deliver ground engineering, contaminated land, and geoenvironmental assessments for infrastructure projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on ground investigations, modelling, risk assessment, and integrated design.

The role targets Engineer/Senior Engineer/Expert levels, with Chartered status progressing or already achieved.

Qualifications

Degree-qualified geotechnical engineer
Working toward Chartered Engineer or Chartered Geologist status
Experience in geotechnical design for foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, slopes, and buried structures
Familiar with ground investigation, data interpretation, and geotechnical analysis

Responsibilities

Produce geotechnical desk studies, ground investigation scopes and testing specifications
Management and interpretation of ground investigation data and factual reports
Development of ground models using OpenGround, Leapfrog
Derivation of geotechnical parameters and development of numerical models (PLAXIS) for soil‑structure interaction
Technical input to safety‑critical designs, including review of deliverables
Delivery and oversight of work packages with engineering partners and suppliers
Collaboration with structural, civil, hazards, hydrogeology, environmental, and other disciplines
Participation in design reviews, assurance activities, and resolution of engineering queries
Compliance with codes, standards, quality requirements, and CDM obligations
Authoring and reviewing technical reports, risk assessments, remediation strategies, and supporting documentation
Support for continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring
