Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland, servicing a Royal Navy redevelopment site in Plymouth, seeks an experienced Geotechnical/Section Geotechnical Engineer to support technical compliance to design specs. BPSS clearance is required, with up to 8 weeks processing. NATO MISWG passport holders eligible to apply.

You will lead geotechnical delivery, oversee HSQE docs, manage project teams, and liaise with the client and third parties to ensure safety, quality, and timely performance.

Qualifications

• Required – Experience in delivering geotechnical works, competence at management and supervision of project teams, documentation writing, communication skills both written and verbal at all levels
• Preferred – RoGEP, Professional Membership, CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, PTS

Responsibilities

• Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding the progress of the project and relevant developments
• Writing and maintaining of HSQE documentation
• Supervision & management of the safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works to an excellent technical standard
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client, the supply chain and third parties
• Maintain high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on site
• Accurate record keeping for site activities, and short term forecasting of resources on a project basis
• Awareness of project and business goals and able to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement with business
