Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an Engineering Geologist to join our Leeds team in a hybrid role, working on diverse ground investigation and environmental projects from site to delivery. Salary range £40,000–£45,000, with progressive development in a supportive consultancy setting.

The role blends site and office work, managing investigations, preparing technical reports, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Engineering Geology or geoenvironmental degree required.
• Experience with Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and supervise ground investigation works.
• Coordinate fieldwork activities and ensure standards.
• Prepare factual and interpretative technical reports.
• Undertake contaminated land and geotechnical risk assessments.
• Assist with Phase I and Phase II site investigations.
• Monitor progress to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Provide practical recommendations based on findings.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Mentor junior team members.
