Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer for a respected multidisciplinary consultancy. The role involves important ground investigations, site assessments and infrastructure projects across York, London, and the wider UK, developing technical and project management skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering or ground investigation.
• Degree in Geotechnical/Civil/Geology or related field.
• Knowledge of ground investigation techniques.
• Experience interpreting site data and reporting.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake geotechnical site investigations and ground assessments.
• Supervise intrusive ground investigations and site works.
• Log soils and rocks, sample, and monitor groundwater.
• Interpret geotechnical data and prepare reports.
• Assist with slope stability and earthwork design assessments.
• Coordinate lab testing programmes and liaise with project teams.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on-site.
