Job summary
Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham are seeking a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy delivering innovative geotechnical and ground engineering solutions. You will undertake assessments, review ground data, prepare reports and collaborate with clients and contractors, with hybrid working options and a strong path to chartership.

Qualifications
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, design or ground engineering.
- Strong analytical, technical report-writing and problem-solving skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Full right to work in the UK, without sponsorship.
- To live in or near Birmingham, with the ability to commute to the office.
Responsibilities
- Undertake geotechnical assessments, calculations and design solutions for a variety of projects.
- Review ground investigation data and interpret soil and ground conditions.
- Prepare technical reports, design documentation and engineering recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors.
- Support site investigations and ensure designs meet relevant standards and safety requirements.
