Job summary
Energy Jobline ZR in Glasgow is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy. You will work across infrastructure, development and environmental projects, performing geotechnical design, ground investigation planning and site-based work to develop technical experience across a varied portfolio.
You will liaise with civil, structural and environmental teams, prepare specifications and calculations, and contribute to project delivery from feasibility to detailed
Qualifications
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related subject.
- Previous geotechnical consultancy experience.
- Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant standards.
- Experience with geotechnical analysis and design.
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Geotechnical design for foundations, retaining structures and earthworks.
- Ground investigation planning, supervision and interpretation.
- Geotechnical reporting and assessment of ground conditions.
- Slope stability and settlement analysis.
- Earthworks and remediation assessments.
- Site inspections and ground investigation supervision.
- Preparation of technical specifications and calculations.
- Liaising with civil, structural, environmental and other engineering disciplines.
- Supporting project delivery from feasibility through detailed design.
