Job summary

Twenty Twenty Consulting Ltd is seeking a geotechnical engineer to join its Yorkshire team. You will plan and supervise ground investigations, write Phase 1/2 reports and remediation strategies, and contribute to foundation and earthworks assessments.

The role offers hybrid working with Leeds, Cross Hills and home, and a clear route to chartership. The ideal candidate has 3+ years' consultancy experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental work, strong report writing and communication skills,

Qualifications

• 3+ years' consultancy experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental work.
• Experience with ground investigation, site supervision and technical reporting.
• Knowledge of foundations and earthworks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise ground investigations on site.
• Write Phase 1 desk studies, Phase 2 interpretative reports and remediation strategies.
• Contribute to foundation and earthworks assessments.
• Work with clients, contractors and the wider design team.
• Develop towards chartership (ICE, Geological Society or CIWEM).

About the role

Join a well-established and growing firm of consulting engineers in Yorkshire, with genuinely exciting projects, a clear route to chartership and flexible working. They have plenty of long-standing employees who have developed and progressed to senior level, and Twenty Twenty Consulting Ltd is recruiting on their behalf.

Hybrid working: you choose how many days you work from home, the Leeds office and the Cross Hills office (near Keighley), with a minimum of one day a week in Cross Hills.

What you will be doing

• Planning and supervising ground investigations on site


• Writing Phase 1 desk studies, Phase 2 interpretative reports and remediation strategies


• Contributing to foundation and earthworks assessments


• Working with clients, contractors and the wider design team


• Developing towards chartership (ICE, Geological Society or CIWEM)

What you will bring

• 3+ years' consultancy experience across geotechnical and geo-environmental work


• Experience of ground investigation, site supervision and technical reporting


• Knowledge of foundations and earthworks


• Working towards chartership


• Experience of ground gas and contaminated land risk assessment is a plus


• Strong report writing and communication skills

• Salary of £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience
