Twenty Twenty Consulting Ltd in Yorkshire is seeking a skilled structural technician to develop 3D BIM models in Revit, produce high-quality 2D drawings and support engineers on diverse projects.

You will join a growing firm with a clear route to senior technician or BIM coordinator, and progression to professional membership. Hybrid working across Leeds, Cross Hills and home is available.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 3D BIM models and detailed drawings to project standards.
• Understanding of structural detailing and ISO 19650 frameworks.
• Proven ability to coordinate with engineers and other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining 3D structural models in Revit to project requirements.
• Producing accurate 2D drawings, schedules and details from the model.
• Translating sketches and calculations into coordinated models and drawings.
• Participating in model coordination reviews and design workshops.
• Owning model and drawing packages for assigned projects, including revisions.

About the role

Join a well-established and growing firm of consulting engineers in Yorkshire, with genuinely exciting projects, a clear route to chartership and flexible working. They have plenty of long-standing employees who have developed and progressed to senior level, and Twenty Twenty Consulting Ltd is recruiting on their behalf.

A chance to join a structures team and help build up its BIM approach. You will produce high-quality Revit models and structural drawings, working closely with engineers, with a clear path towards senior technician or BIM coordinator and Technician Membership of the IStructE or ICE.

Hybrid working: you choose how many days you work from home, the Leeds office and the Cross Hills office (near Keighley), with a minimum of one day a week in Cross Hills.

What you will be doing

• Developing and maintaining 3D structural models in Revit to project requirements and BIM standards


• Producing accurate 2D drawings, schedules and details from the model


• Turning engineers' sketches, calculations and specifications into coordinated models and drawings


• Taking part in model coordination reviews, clash detection and design workshops


• Owning model and drawing packages for assigned projects, to scope, programme and quality


• Managing revisions in line with project processes and document control


• Supporting junior technicians and taking the project lead on suitable projects as you grow

What you will bring

• 2-5+ years' experience in a structural technician or BIM role


• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (Structures)


• Experience producing structural drawings and models in RC, steel and foundations


• Understanding of structural engineering principles and detailing practice


• Familiar with BIM standards (ISO 19650) and common data environments


• AutoCAD is desirable


• Degree, HND+2 or equivalent, with strong attention to detail
