Job summary

Galliford Try in Warrington (Hybrid) seeks a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join the Infrastructure – Environment team. Deliver geotechnical designs and checks within the company’s BMS, contributing to major UK projects and design reviews.

You will design foundations, retaining structures, slopes and excavation support, mentor graduates, and collaborate with clients and supply chain to ensure safe, buildable and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel across the UK to support projects.
• Working towards membership of ICE, Geological Society or other engineering institution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, reports and specifications.
• Deliver geotechnical engineering solutions that are safe and buildable.
• Develop designs for excavation support systems, foundations and slope stability.
• Review data and contribute to assessments and recommendations.
• Support value engineering and buildability reviews.
