Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in Nottingham is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to deliver projects from feasibility through detailed design across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

You will interpret ground investigation data, design foundations and earthworks, supervise site investigations, and liaise with clients and contractors while developing geotechnical models and providing technical reviews. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in geotechnical consultancy or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical design.
Experience preparing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
Familiarity with UK standards and Eurocodes.
Experience using Geo5, Oasys, SLOPE/W, Wallap or similar.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Interpreting ground investigation data and preparing geotechnical reports.
Undertaking foundation design, earthworks assessments, retaining wall design, and slope stability analysis.
Developing geotechnical models and design recommendations.
Managing and supervising site investigations.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
Assisting with project management, programme delivery and technical reviews.
Supporting junior engineers and contributing to the growth of the team.
